Drain Pipe Leak in a Brockton Ceiling Void
The visible damage appears light in this Brockton home's ceiling. The soaked popcorn ceiling panels were heavy with water. Our SERVPRO technician punched a small weep hole in the material, and some water flowed out. To avoid safety hazards, and to dry the above void, it was necessary to perform a controlled demolition. The After Photo indicates the neatness of this work, even the windows, and other openings were covered with polypropylene 6-mil sheeting to prevent circulating unwanted debris to unaffected rooms in the home. Our equipment has dried the wet. Rafters and then technicians sprayed an antifungal chemical in the exposed crawlspace. The ceiling can now be closed with new sheetrock without the fear of a mold infestation and done right by SERVPRO!
